Im glad you dig my work.
My weapons of choice are Montana Gold Spray paint and cheap acrylics for mainly varyning color gradients.
I use an exacto knife to cut out my stencils on cheap printer paper.
The piece really comes together as I go. A piece never turns out how I thinl it will, mainly because of transparency, color, and mixing of the acrylics with the spraypaint.
I use vellum paper which i find holds up really well bc i usually use my stencils more than once and carry them around places. However it has its disadvantages as well.
Do you usually only get one use out of using printer paper? Does it last?
Anyways i know what you mean. spray paint is such a unpredictable medium to use (which is also why i love it) and thats why i also really respect your work.
I have used vellun before, and it does work well for less intricate pieces, because it cracks.
Ive found the best medium to use is cardstock, 90 lbs, it cuts well, and holds much longer than cheap paper.
